rear spoiler loose, 2002 GP

Anything special to look for when I tighten this back up, it is loose on one side, leftside from back of car.

In the trunk, I noted the hardware that holds it on is a nut & screw and I note the screw has what looks like a Torx slot in it, does this require a special tool/way to tighten?

I was thinking of pulling it totally off, because there sounds like there are "leaves, pine needles, junk, etc." , stuck in / under it, is it a good idea to pull it off, clean it up and reinstall it , or should I just tighten it?

Also how are the screws attached to the spoiler?"

my concern is knowing it is 21 years old . . . will it fall apart, mainly where the screws attack to spoiler. Is it made of fiberglass or plastic?

One other question, I recall way back in 2002 some had issues with the holes leaking rain water into the trnck, I never had this probem. If I remove it totally are there seal type rubber washers I should replace on it, to prevent leaking?

The studs are screwed into the spoiler. The spoiler is fiberglass so don't go crazy on the torque. There probably is junk under it. If you take it off you will likely find dirt under it and a rub mark in the paint on the trunk lid, possibly some rust.

If you do decide pull it completely off I'd put a thin spacer on the studs between the spoiler and the trunklid when you re-install. I used some thin nylon washers on mine to give it just enough space for water/debris to drain out from under it yet not look raised up. I used some clear silicone on all the stunds on reinstall just to make sure I didn't introduce any leaks. So far, so good.
