Rear Injectors

The rear injector (right next to the alternator) is weaping a bit. I watched a video on how to remove the complete fuel rail. It loos like I could remove the bolts holding the (rear) fuel rail down and lift it enough to get the rear injectors out. Am I correct in this thought? Looking to do as little dis-assembly as possible.

not gonna happen. take the lines off the rail, then the 4 bolts and lift them all out, then you need to pull the clip off the injector thats leaking and pull on it with a good wiggle, note the angle its sits in the rail ( its not straight in there), pull on that angle it helps. yes they will fight you, keep pulling harder lol

actually.. the bracket that holds the rear of your alternator should be in your way. I'd also suggest removing the negative power from the battery. See... it's easy to wiggle the rail up and tap the alt. EGR shield may also need to come out.

If you remove the 4 - 10mm nuts that hold the rail down and that bracket after disconnecting power at the battery, you should be able to wiggle it up a smidge and do the job. Also.. put the clip back on before you put the new injector in. It'll click right in and you'll be ready to put the rail back down. I like to use a little oil or lube on the o-rings before pushing them back down. Just in case.

If I were doing one.. yeah.. I would wiggle one out. But then I have air and know I can zip things one way or another in minutes on a 3800
