Rear caliper rebuild or replace?

Guys and gals,

I have noticed my rear calipers are leaking from around the e-brake spring/seal and covering everything back there in brake fluid. My general question is what is the level of effort in doing a rebuild kit vs buying a whole assembled caliper? I would be happy to do the rebuild since its 10x cheaper but if the rebuild itself is finicky I'd be fine spending the extra and having all new equipment back there. I'm in MN so things were a bit crusty back there - probably nothing some cleaning wouldn't resolve.

Anyone care to pitch in opinions? I really don't want to do the rebuilt and end up with a leak thinking why the f didn't I just buy the new assembly?!

Depends. do you have access to a quality sand blaster? An oven? Jet wash? If not, you can tear down the caliper itself and give the caliper with the bracket to a machine shop and they'll do a great job cleaning it up. But that's at a cost and getting new bolts, bleeders, boots, seals are additional cost to the rebuild which come pretty close to a reman hence why most people go with remans. Also remans have warranties.
 
Went with remans from Napa. Overall I think it was a good choice compared to refreshing my own - that would have been a nightmare. One of the e brake springs wasn't very tight and the pads would probably drag a bit after I use the e brake. Is this easy to adjust?
