Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Ready to Learn

GP L36

I just bought a 2000 GT Sedan. I know quite a bit about 3800 motors. I had a 1992 bonneville with 300k on it all original. So I know how strong these motors are. The GT has pretty good power but I go to the drag strip quite a bit. There is a stock L98 Trans am that runs high 14s. I want to beat him. He's a good friend of mine and doesn't understand the potential of these engine's. I would like to stay NA without a cam swap if possible. I do plan on doing an L67 Top swap later on down the road. :th_winking: Just need info on the best mods.

ur not gonna touch 14's without some pretty heavy modding. top swap it and call it a day.

this. rumors are it took zzp every mod under the sun to hit 14's like you're trying to. a top swap will get you there so much easier, not to mention cheaper.

or turbo/cam/IC setup and don't even give him a chance :th_sinister:

lol welcome to the forums

Okay for a top swap if I get an L67 complete engine will i be able to use my wiring for everything or will i have to rewire a few things.

You'll need to wire in the MAP for sure...and get the o2 extended if you get headers...other than that I can't honestly think of anything else that needs rewired...maybe the BBV

Awesome I think I'm gonna go ahead with the top swap. While i have everything apart I'm gonna cam it also. I already have a set of ported l67 heads off ebay. They were ported by a custom machine shop. What mods should I go for to run a 3.4 pully on the l36.
