Rattling noise 05 gtp

Well I noticed a small rattling noise a couple days ago under normal acceleration. It will quit when I get on it hard and it only does it in drive under light load. If you put it neutral and rev it up it doesn't do it. I made a video of the noise i put drive and held the brakes while giving it gas and put it in park and revved to demonstrate. http://youtu.be/u4GpSlfzzk0 could it be spark knock?

So a rod could knock only when in light acceleration? Car only has 90k, I change the oil with synthetic every 3k. I can rev it in park all I want and it sounds fine but as soon as I take off and accelerate it rattles. It I punch the throttle it will stop. I guess time will tell. I believe the plugs and wires are factory though. Been aiming on changing them. That's what I'll try next.

Have you checked to see if you have the plastic LIM gaskets? How's the coolant look? Oil look normal or like a milkshake?

You could always take the SC belt off and start it up to see if the rattle goes away. You can drive it w/ the SC belt off, just don't dog it. If the noise doesn't go away you could remove the serpentine belt as well and drive it for a second (and I mean SHORT, as the waterpump and everything else is not turning at that point) to see if the noise goes away. Could just be a pulley, waterpump, or the S/C coupler.

Doesn't matter what mileage or oil change intervals. you could have spun a bearing due to high RPMs or other ****. I'm not saying it actually is a rod knocking, just sounds like it but can't fully tell due to background noise. Try what FordMan says and go from there

Just changed the oil and the old oil looked normal. Haven't really checked the antifreeze yet. It sounds kinda like it's coming from the drivers side but it's hard to say. Tomorrow I'll pull the belts just to be sure. The car runs fine and seems to have plenty of power as usual. I was told it could be the spark knock from bad gas or since it still has the original plugs/wires. Also was told it could be the flex plate, but wouldn't a flex plate rattle all the time instead of just accelerating in drive?
