Random Shut off issue

Hello fellow Prix owners, My name is Justin and I just bought my wife a work car, 94 Grand prix 3.1. So the day we bought it no issues what so ever, drove it about 50 miles in total and not 1 problem. Well the next day I notice a couple of things, 1 the power steering pressure hose is leaking bad so I need to change that, any write ups? Aside that I have a major problem, out of the blue the car will start to drop idle wether im at a stand still or driving down the road and will shut off, it will start right back up but then die again a few sec later. I will sit for like a min or 2 try it again, it will dip in idle to like .2 then will rev up over 1 then back down and then will go leve at 1rpm. Then I can put it in drive and drive off like nothing happened. The only thing different today then yesterday is that I sprayed the engine bay down with purple cleaner because the car was a farm car and engine bay was really dirty. Any ideas or where to start? Thanks again.

So the shutting off issue seems to have stopped as fast as it started. So I must move on to the next prying issue, the power steering hose leak. So it seems its the high pressure hose, a buddy of mine says I need to drop the sub frame n order to get to the fitting on the rack. is this necessary or can I do it with out doing that? Any pictures would help a lot as I have never done something like this before.

Replying late but oh well haha. Dropping the engine cradle/ sub frame requires undoing the steering linkages ( its a bolt inside a typically green dust cover) and a lot of other heavy things and i don't recommend doing that for safety reasons! Jack it up, take off the wheels and dive into it if you want using the normal leak finding procedures. A leak on anything power steering gives me nightmares and if the whole rack needs replaces definitely take it to a shop IMO. As far as the engine stoping, it sounds electrical. When it dies does the radio, blower motor, dash lights turn off? That would mean the car is dropping voltage in a ignition or accessory wire. Connections do get used up or burnt out like relays and switches, I've even seen half blown fuses so check those things. but start somewhere easy when it comes to electrical gremlins. The engine has to has a solid ground to the chassis to keep things like spark and other sensors happy, so check as many connections from the motor as you can. Mainly the grounds that are around the starter area ( on my 3100 00 gp se ) hope this helps, goodluck.
