Random kr spikes during cruise control, wtf?

Had only happened the last tow days during driving home from work. Cruise set at 61mph and out of no where my kr will start climbing from 0 to 14!!! Only does it until I about cruise control off or tap the gas. Then its 0kr all the way home. Im driving on a level road at 7am in the morning nice cool temp. Car sits for 11 hours before I drive it home from work. Any idea whats happening?
 


Does the rise in KR happen in conjunction with load on the motor? Specifically when the converter is locked while trying to maintain speed up a hill.
Could also be false.
Could also point to something more serious...
 
It only did it those two days and its a completely flat road, no incline/decline or turns. It would just start going up from 0 to 14... Liked I said it only happened two times then it hasn't done it since.. This is weird
