Radio lights?

Hey the lights on my stock radio just stopped coming on, the last time I put it back in and powered it up the light came on for about a min then went out, that was a few months ago, is there a fix for this. or is it toast as far as seeing what station, time, etc is. I tried just unpluging,replugging, wiggling, put in friends 97 grand prix Nothing.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by buying another unit at my local junkyard for $10. 15 minutes to remove old and install new/used one. Problem solved.
