Radio controls on steering wheel

The radio/volume controls on the steering wheel of my 02 Grand Prix do not work, bought the car that way, I think its because of the custom kenwood radio installed. Is there any way for me to use those controls with the aftermarket radio?
 


Yes, you need the correct harness to make it work though. Sounds like the PO installed a cheap harness without the extra controls.
 
Depends on if the aftermarket deck supports it, some do but most don't. Otherwise, if the deck has a remote you can install a PAC SWI-X to communicate between the controls and the deck.
