Radiator fan issues

Hope I can explain my issues....
So I noticed my car temperature was going over 3/4...after I had a mechanic switch out the Rack and Pinion.
I'm in South Texas....I know it gets pretty hot in the afternoons.
Wanted to check the fans and noticed 1 wasn't working.
I checked the relays and we're all good. Non-issue/problem there. I thought it was the fan motor that wasn't working. So I switched the connectors from one fan to the other to see if it worked. It didn't work. So I assumed it was the radiator fan motor the was busted. I wanted to check the coolant sensor that I replaced about a year ago. And noticed something disconnected. The plug was between the rack and pinion and the transmission....I connected it and both fans worked. Turned on as soon as I started the car.
I thought my troubles were done but the next day the same fan wasn't working again. Checked if there was any current going through the cables/wires. Theres no power going to the fan.
Anyone know any tips on how to fix this issue?
Note: Thermostat was changed about a week after coolant sensor was replaced. It's been about a year already.
Also replaced the water pump a day before this post.
Any tips/help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like something with the wiring. You have the harness coming off the car (probably part of the engine harness) which goes to a connector on the fan assembly. From that connector there is another small harness that Y's off to both fans. I had an issue with that Y-harness to where only the driver's side fan was running. If I jiggled that harness the passenger side fan would run, however it was only temporary. I found a replacement harness from someone on the facebook marketplace that was parting out and its been working since. I would start at the fans and work my way back.
