Rad fans not working - 95 GTP

Ok so for some time now my rad fans are not kicking on when the temp goes up. When i'm driving above 50km/h the temp drops back to normal. I've checked the fuses, replaced the fan relays and also replaced the temp sensor for the fans.....still not working.

I notice that at a stop light or driving slower, the temp spikes up to about 3/4 hot. There has been a few times, at a long light the temp spikes up to 3/4 for a minute or so then it does come back down. But mostly it just stays around 3/4 hot unless driving fast.

Any help with this would be amazing.

Also i've tired to jump the driver side fan to 12v directly, the fan did start to spin but the ground was sparking like crazy.....

Hi Vick. I'm wondering, have just noticed this during cold weather? I had a 1990 Grand Prix that the fans did not come on at all during the winter and the temp got quite high but never overheated. However, in the warm months one of the fans would come when the temp got high and both fans would come on when I used the Air Conditioning; when I used the air conditioning the temp gauge never got high in the warm season. Just letting you know my experience. It's possible there may not be an issue.

The issue did start right when it got cold out. Odd thing is that last winter i never had this problem. The fans may have not come on but it was never running as hot as it is this winter.

Thanks Chris. Has anyone else had this happen?
