Rack & Pinion Leak Fixable?

I installed a Detroit Axle reman rack and pinion. After a year it started making the groan of death. Installed a reman GM rack last month and started noticing p/s fluid puddles. Inward sigh.... It is leaking from the bottom of the rack at the disc. See pic. No leak from boots or fittings but it is blown all over the bottom of the car from driving. I took a hammer and tapped the disc but I am beginning to think that may be just a dust cover, not a seal. Do you guys think this is something I can easily fix on the car or do I need to pull the rack for the third time? Warranty wants me to ship it in first, then they ship a replacement. Umm no. Not really thrilled with that idea. I need to drive everyday. Pull the dust cover, caulk, and reinstall? Is there a seal under there? Can it be replaced on the car?
Thanks.

You might be able to replace that seal. Check out RockAuto and see if there is a seal kit for that. Not sure what's under there but likely some type of seal. Sorry, never bothered to fix one before, just replace the unit as a whole.
