raced my GP and my Eclipse

the other day i decided to compare my top swapped 3.4 grand prix w/ headers, a custom tune, 3 inch exhaust to my 1994 1g eclipse with a 8.5:1 4g63 motor, 16g turbo, FMIC, 3 inch cat back, evo injectors and fuel pump running 20 lbs of boost...lol me in the eclipse and my friend in the GP. We ran a dig, 20 roll, 40 roll, 60 roll and an 80 roll each race ended when one of us was 2 car lengths ahead...well, the gp was never ahead sadly, and it wasnt even really close ever lol...DSM for the win
 


haha no way dude, these things can handle 30+ lbs. with supporting mods the worlds fastest 4 cylinder is a 4g63 running 90 pounds of boost
 
Thats where i came from was eclipses. The interior was getting dated and i was lookin for auto for the girl to drive. But i do love that 4G63. Great motor.

yup im lovin my 1g and ya i agree the interior isnt the greatest lol but mines stripped so its not like i care how it looks...one nice thing about DSM's is that a hell of alot more people are modding them and its WAY easier to get parts of like craigslists for them compared to a GP
 
Never liked Eclipses, but yeah, they can be pretty damn fast. I would get a AWD one tho, these are BEAST.
 
hey if the GP only lost by 2 car lengths to a stripped eclipse with a built motor and 20 PSI I don't think thats so bad. Throw up some pics of both cars. I do love the older eclipses. I hate the new ones. Anything over the first gen suck.
