• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1. Do they still sell the VSx cam? Is it better than the VS cam?

2. I know that I wont gain that much power out of a full i/c using only a 3.4"(opposed to a 3.0" or so), but if i was to run a 3.4", how much horse power could i make with a full i/c?.....I know i would be KR free 4sure.....would i feel any diff as far as performane?

Why would you want to run a vs cam? XP or s1x would probably be your best bet. I dont think you would get any performance gains going to a full sized ic and sticking with the 3.4, but it might let you run better timing so you could get some gains there.

VS cam is a very good can especially when intercooling. They can put down just as much numbers as the Xp or SIX cam without putting more strain on the valve train. Last time I check I believe that still sell it. With that setup I would at least drop down to a 3.2 scan and tune and drive it daily.

Kr free, without ever trying it, is impossible to guarentee.

Naw, i was just hypathetically speaking.....that if i ran a full IC with only a 3.4" pulley, I'll pobably be KR free. If not, that would be a quick fix......

This is y i want a VS cam. They are powerful, reliable, and not hard on the valve train. Maintains good MPH, easy to Tune, And unlike most other Cams the VS is not to much and definately not to weak capable of making pretty decent power for ya daily driver and a lil extra when u want it........

Ok, how bout a Full I/C with a 3.0" pulley, no Cam??? What kind of performance would i be looking at with this?

I want the Cam, im just weighing my options, time and money on doing the Cam. Its my daily driver so......eventually i will put it in 4sure!!!

i didnt ask what he had HP wise. he said it was in the 13's tho. sounded cool, it had a slp cat back and tog headers.

and his girl had the lets go look, so no rides were offered or asked for.

he did say he had a intense canned tune, that his car runs better on vs the 3 in car tuned pcm's he also has, he went back to the caned tune, the car just liked it better he said.

and its his DD, so its not like its anything crazy.

the full ic just fits too, his tranny mount was blown out and the fuel lines were denting the hood liner.

His IC shouldve cleared the hood clearance...(with a ZZP full IC ayway)....

it cleared the hood by mm's id say, but with the trans mount being bad the driver side was lifting and denting the hood liner.

Oh, WOW.....Crazy how imp. these motor mounts are, and as u mentioned they could affect hood clearance....Crazy

WOW, LOL....I was thinking about getting the Modded fuel rails, but i really dont have the need to yet....well until i put this IC on....Do those modded fuel rails have better flow or what? or do they just simply give you clearance for a IC, hood, personal engine bay looks and whatever esle?.....

Wus so good about those? ill be damned to pay all that money for just looks.....it better have better flow, an extra inline filter and whatever else....LOL

They apparently result in better fuel distribution.

Some report KR issues with stock rails, swap to logs, KRs gone. Some even drop pulleys.

In other cases, the opposite happens.

So who really knows the truth here.

Dee...

Stock rails don't fit over an IC without spacers etc. Then they'd be the highest point and rails rubbing on hood is bad.
ZZP rails.. I've only dealt with the ones that get bolted down at the valve cover bolts. Don't like the fitment at all. I think they suck moose balls. Haven't dealth with the latest revisions.
PRJ rails. They fit, they work, no problems, no questions.. You want something that fits and works that well, it's going to cost money.
