Quick LS4 Belt Removal

Props to whoever posted it on GMLS4.com i cant remeber the picture but there damn sure isnt a writeup anyway it goes as follows

No need to remove the wheel at all just crank the steering wheel to the right

use a 4' hose clamp bend it like so



Use a 8 mm socket and ratchet and start tightening it down eventually it will conform around the tensioner and voila! you you can take off belt by hand no expensive tools no headaches quick and easy

i did it once like that after you told me how to. and btw you should update your sig now ;)

So this avoids the issue of the tensioner popping out and dropping quite a bit...I like.

Glad you posted this before I swapped the PS pump this weekend :) Stickied.

I put it in the how to section and left a permanent redirect from where the original thread was. How's that?
