Quick injector upgrade question

00RedfireGT

I am looking at a list of mods I would like to eventually complete for my 00 GT, DP, front powerlog, catback system(maybe), bigger TB with spacer, PCM and maybe the intake insert. My question is, is there a point where the stock injectors will need to be upgraded?

A bigger throttle body and spacer are useless, you won't ever outflow them.

Only use a spacer if you plan to use NOS or meth injection.

Your NA car won't be able to max the fuel injectors with those mods.

I've have always been interested in the idea of the top swap but the amount of work seems daunting. In my browsing I remember seeing a sticky or complete write up on the swap but cannot seem to find it. Anyone help?

Ye ah that's way over priced you can go to your local junk yard and pick up the head, blower and balancer for way less. Then get all the gaskets for about 150 and a few hours of your time then you can have more power

You could probably find a used set of ported heads on here for about 500, stick an xp cam in it and enjoy the 300+ horse power at your wheels

you could get a set of stock L67 heads for 150 shipped, or find a local junkyard and should be able to get both heads for 100. then you would need the lower intake manifold, and that would be about 50. you would need to swap out your map sensor for an L67, probably find one of those for 50, then you would need a set of L67 injectors, and those would be about 40 or 50. then if you wanted to really make your top swap shine, you could add an XP cam, a new one is about 325, a set of 130 lb valve springs for 100, valve seals are about 20, valve cover gaskets are about 20, and modified valve spring retainers are about 20, and a new set of valve locks are about 20. you would need a double roller timing chain which is 130 for a new one, a machined oil pump cover for 40 or something. and that should just leave you needing all the gaskets necessary when changing all the parts.

you would also need headers to maximize the airflow. you can get a new set of speed daddy headers for 250.

at some point you will need some transmission work.

someone correct me if im wrong.

edit for additional info: a top swap at that mileage is fine.

wow, thank yo all for the info. Not sure if i just wanted to do a couple exhaust mods or go for the full top swap. I will post when I know
