Ok i have a 97 grand prix gt now when i got the car the windows and the heads up didnot work but the radio would not play but the time showed up im trying to put a aftermarket cd player in the car i need to know if i have to run an exturnal power wier like i had to in my 03 malibu ??????????? And dose any 1 know were i can locate the fuse for the heads up and windows ?????
 


As far as the head unit, I don't think you will need an external power wire, as long as that is not the problem with the old one, but since it lights up i don't think it would be. Just get the wiring harness and solder all those wires with the ones that came with the head unit, that should be it.
 
ok i have hooked up the harrnes in the car still the new cd player gets no power at all im thinking i might have to run a new power wire from the batt


on 97-03 malibus u have to tap in to the fuse panel for a aftermarket radio to work b/c the stock harnes will not power them up
