Question On Air Fuel Ration Guage Instillation

I need help installing this guage in my car! I have the wiring ran and I also bough the pigtail for my car to install this meter but I cannot find out where it goes if you have any info on this matter please PM me back it would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1999 Pontiac grand Prix GT.

IIRC the Air/Fuel ratio gauge...

the pigtail should be going to the/a 02 (oxygen) sensor.

on the Grand Prix's there are 2 Oxygen sensors.

1. Located directy on the rear header right before where she bolts to the downpipe. (sticks straight up, ontop of pipe) Right next to the rear spark plug towards the drivers side.

2. Located back after the downpipe above the "U bend" adjacent to the catilayc convereter

Yes it is the wideband gauge! I was told that I needed this pigtail to install it so I am not splicing into factory wires incase I want to resell the car.

If it's a wideband, you don't connect it to any existing sensors. You have to add your own. The stock sensors are narrow bands.

is it possible to swap one of the nb out and put in a wb (but not hook it to harness, use a fake out sensor) and hook up to a gauge? but still leave the aft sensor still plugged up?

ttt...i think this would work, but is it worth it? i might to top swap later..or hybrid the swap and turbo it instead of s/c...but i couldnt use my fwi from tdc if i did that...dang!!

taking out the front o2 sensor will make your car run like utter crap. have fun with that.

you need to weld in another bung. do i need to go take a picture of my exhaust for you?

sure. so three sensors in there, would be awesome. i was thinking about a top swap, would be nice to have teh wb to see whats goin on, i guess i could weld in another if i do end up with u bend delete, wouldnt take long, could get guys at work to do it for me.

are these good? i think they would be pretty good, especially for the price. looks like they have the bungs welded in already too. probably be able to run the 3.25 pulley on these too.
