Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

question about part of the stock body

'04 GP GT. I am looking into doing a two-tone sort of deal with the lower front "inbetween foglights" section and the rear "PONTIAC" lettering area.

I am not really sure the technical names for these parts but hopefully my horrid description is adequte. :P

So the main question is how would I...

a) remove these sections? I quickly felt around the front section and it feels like there are a few bolts underneath. Are these what is holding this section in place? I have no clue about the rear section and cant really get a good look at it in this hellish blizzard we are having today.

b) would i need to get a new peice to paint or could i use the parts i take off and repaint them and then reinstall?

Sorry if this seems alittle "n00b" as they say, it's my first car and I dont have a ton of experiance with cars. Thats not to say i dont have lots of mechanical experiance and I do know enough about cars and their inner workings.

Thanks for anyhelp.

a) those pieces that you felt were holding it in place are holding the whole bumper in place. they do not detach the lower sections.

b) youd have to repaint the bumpers, masking off the rest.

so is there a way to only remove that lower peice? or is it simply one entire peice that must be taped off and painted?

First off.. The front & rear lowers can be removed so paint them if you want.

Heres the stock ones painted orange
