question about my k&n intake

I have the K&N FIPK 2 intake on my car, and i wanted to know it there is a kit out there that makes some sort of cover to make it fit a ram air hood if i decide to get one eventually. I feel like the k&n has too much hot air getting into it because the top is just open on the intake and the heat shield is only protecting really the sides from engine bay heat getting in. Any suggestions?

I don't believe they make such a product ad you described but with a little innovation im sure you can fabricate one with materials from home depot.

Your other options are to sell your K&N and make own cold air box, a fender wall intake or buy a better cold air intake. Whatever the decision we could most likely help out.

I personely would ditch the K&N FIPK and go with a homemade FWI or talk to TDC and one of his kits. If you sell your current setup, you can build your own / buy another and take the rest of the money and put it towards a plog/ headers.

yeah, im kicking myself now... i shouldve gotten the wizaired intake... the thing looks like it works great, its completely sealed from the engine bay... im an idiot. so..... does anyone wanna buy a k&n!?!?! haha

Yeah see if you can sell that thing on ebay and get youre self one of my intakes. If you want cold air you want a fwi. And it's ok...we all make mistakes...at least you learn from them and arent ignorant to the fact that your intake is'nt the best out there. Belive me i'e seen people argue to the point of no return about this intake lol.
