Question about GXP transmissions

Hello,
I’ve seen a lot about mods people do to their GXPs and some gain a pretty good sum of HP (i.e. turbos). But what needs done to make the tranny take that? Do you swap it for something else or is there an aftermarket beef-up solution or what?
And if it is a swap, what fits or what’s the recommended swap that people do?
Any information on the subject is much appreciated.

Most people just upgrade them.

The main weakness is the input shaft. Being a gxp, you already have the good chains. Just about everything else is wear items.
