Question about 04+ rear bumper

Crims

New member
I just bought a 05 GP 6 cylinder. Single exhaust and i want to upgrade it to a dual exhaust setup. Upon inspection of the rear bumper it seems to me that the rear bumper is two parts. Upper being the main bumper and the lower part seems to serve no function other then appearance and port for the exhaust. I have looked up and down for a dual exhaust setup for the lower part but cant find one anywhere. I started looking for the GTP model part but from the pictures i have seen it seems more or less the GTP rear bumper is one solid piece. I would hate to have to replace the whole rear bumper just to get a dual exhaust setup. Can anyone help me?

Since im a new poster I'll post a bit of info on my GP. Chrome inserts and Inferno hood and spoiler should be delivered on the 23rd. Other then that all i have done so far is rims. I picked out the Cruiser Switchblade 18 inch. I probably should have gone with something bigger but the iowa roads here are pretty nasty and i wanted something that doesn't require me to avoid half the city.

P.S. I really really wish they made a chrome gas lid for the 04+ GP!!!!!!!

Me and a friend did this once, you can get it from the dealership for about $52 if I'm not mistaken, about the exhaust I'm not sure about a stock one because junk yards aren't allowed to sell them.

duane - checked them out a few days before i came here, they unfortunately didn't have anything in stock.

Dboy - thanks for the info, i was hoping to get something used and a bit cheaper but i ended up with nothing so i went along with the dealership id. Ended up costing me like 92 bucks though :S

cost about 650 bucks (after tax) and i got my cat back exhaust and nice stainless steel tips. Looks pretty nice and now my GP purs like a cat and growls like one going down the road. I'm not being sarcastic or anything, it seriously sounds like its purring with the flowmaster mufflers i have now :)

$650!!!! the one we did cost us $150 and an hour of us putting it in, as long as your happy with it though :D, congrats.
