Hey guys.. Attempting to pull my double roller off my blown motor.. The motor is toast and wanted to know hows the best way to get it off? The cam bolt is already out...and it wont budge tips? Pics would help too..
Yeah its toast it feels locked.... Pry bar behind the chain? Will it affect the wear on the chain? I want to use this chain again and im tryna pull the cam out of this motor too
use a 2 or 3 bolt puller but just put a nut on the ends of the bolts that are just big enough to fit through the holes in the gear you do not want to pry against the chain unless you want to buy a new one

on a RM its such a tight fit unless you spend 15-30 minutes with crocus cloth before you installed it and the crank sprocket... cleaning up the broached keyway deformation.
often youll have to pull off the cam gear about 3/16 to 1/4" then the crank gear the same amount or a hair more before you can finish pulling off the cam gear without stressing the chain excessivly.
if the rear block cover is off you can typically press the cam out of the cam gear in one shot since it'll receed into the block as the gear comes off.
