Prosport gauges?

So I am looking at getting some gauges and I really liked the prosports. I know there are a lot of threads on here on gauges but none of them really give any good answers on which ones are better. There will be a lot of opinions but that's fine. I know a lot of people have problems with some brands. I don't need to know which ones to buy but which brands. Thanks.

the gauges all work the same and build quality is pretty similar. buy whichever ones you want based on how they look.

Mainly I've read that the prosport fuel pressure gauge sending unit goes bad fast(not that I'll get the fuel pressure right away). Also that needles are off on some boost gauges.

i like my prosport gauges, i have oil pressure and a boost gauge. Im having problems with the boost gauge though.

dont buy glowshift its garbage.....all autometer products are pretty solid thats whats coming in the mail for me right now....look into the ES series gauge they match the tach in these cars flawlessly :)

i had a glowshift gauge and it wasnt bad. either youre talking out of your ass or you had a fluke.

Ya I was reading about some others having problems with the boost gauge getting off. What's up with yours?

I like the prosports the best. Autometer ES are nice but cost to much at the moment.

the line for the boost gauge is poorly designed and the vac was off by 1 hg.....autometer is better quality/calibrated gauge....alot more solid feeling gauge if you get the good ones too hold a glowshift then hold a autometer you can feel the quality differences IMO....

i also emailed glowshift numerious times about it being off with no response back to me....

autometer is what i had before this glowshift now im going back

autometer- 1
glowshift- 0

Oh well shyt happens i had an autometer boost gauge before i bought the gp and me and my bro bought the same one. Mine worked great and his did too for the first month then the damn thing would work but when you shut off the vehicle the needle would stick on 3 hg. I now run a $20 sunpro gauge and have had not a single problem.

my autometer boost gauge was off by -2 in hg.

Same thing happened to to me and a lot of other people. I bought an Autometer vacuum gauge a few years ago and when I pulled it out of the box it showed a few inches vacuum. :th_doh: That started my long hatred for Autometer. Overpriced garbage. After I got my GP I bought some glowshift gauges and was so disappointed at the quality I never installed them and just literally threw them in the trash. Reasonably priced garbage. I've had good experiences with VDO (Vision series), but the selection of gauges is slim. But really most of the stuff you buy is basically Chinese crap anyway. A few months ago I got a Vacuum/Boost gauge from NewSouth Performance and it is a pretty nice piece ( NewSouth Performance ). Don't know if I'll install it anymore as plans have changed. Stewart Warner has a pretty good reputation and is another brand to check out.
