• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Projectors and HID kits.

I have read so many threads about this that my head is starting to hurt. Please, to help me save some sanity, can you tell me:

Who makes the best CCFL projectors for the 97-03.

I want to go HID in the projectors........ Can it be done easily? I also want to have low/hi beam functionality as I drive over 1000 miles a week and weather conditions are a big factor as I constantly seem to find lots of fog, rain, snow, etc.

Thanks in advance guys.

I have sonar no complaints, but I dont have the rings hooked up as I am not 15.

Hid in projectors in plug and play, h1 35watt, harness shouldnt take more than 15min to wire up.

Highs work, but pointless when hids are low, they shine kinda high though I dont care dont use them

If you use highs that much, I'd look for a single bulb projector with a moving shield for high. Otherwise..while you wait for the other projector to heat up and put out decent light..you'd have less light than the low beam.

I just put some DDM tuning hids in my factory housings... Ive only been flashed a couple times.. Got another set of factory lights/housing. Now those just shined all over the place so I went back to my originals. I think it varies from housing to housing

I have had hids in stock housings, the spyder halos and now retros. Out of all of them the retros are the only one worth spending money on. Had the spyders for only a couple months and sold them and only had hids in the stockers until the retros were done.

Double on the retrofit, HIDs look tacky and blind everyone in stock housings. And all aftermrtket projector housings have horrible output, as they're halogen projectors.

Plus your own vision kinda blows with them too. You get hotspots in the beam pattern and overall it just kinda looks like sh*t.

Yup retrofit or bust. Yea it takes some time and a bit more money then aftermarket projector lights but the results are well worth it. You will regret driving a car without them from there on out.

The spyders may look cool but the retrofit beats it hands down. The spyder projectors have weak mounting brackets that will crack and the light output blows compared to even stock headlights. Retros beat everything
