Problems with Driver Information Center

My driver information center on my 02 GP GT is the one with the four settings. MPG, oil life, range and fuel used. The oil life and fuel used work just fine. However the MPG and range just read 0 and don't change even after resetting, filling up the fuel tank, etc. I unplugged it and blew into the connections, made sure all the wires are snug and everything looks fine. Car isn't giving any error codes. Anyone know why it might be doing this?

Have you checked the connections to the OBD 2 port as well as the one that goes behind the cluster? If everything is good, it is possible the DIC is bad.

Yes and the OBD 2 port is where the scan tool hooks up to get live data on your car's PCM. OBD 2 = On Board Diagnostics version 2 and PCM = Powertrain Control Module. The OBD 2 port is right underneath the ride side of the kick plate on the driver side.

My cluster isn't hooked up as of right now, long story. But the MPG and everything was working while it was not hooked up. It was not until just recently that it stopped giving me the info. And I checked the OBD 2 port it's fine.

It kind of lurches when shifting gears sometimes and the cruise control doesn't work. Those are the two most common things I found when looking up failed VSS. No other major issues came up.
