The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Why is stroking to a 4.2 overlooked so much? I know the price is high and could be used other places. But how much of a gain will there be if you do this and then add a blower and drop to a 3 something or lower pulley.
yea. longer stroke or longer rods? good question
is there not parts readely avaliable for these mods? b/c I havent noticed any, usually first thing that catches my eye.
yea the only that is avab is from C.O.M.E. Racing and it goes for 4500 that includes everything on the bottom end. they also sell heads for 2500, and a billet cam for 500, and there's does work with boost.
from what i was informed more tq. i dont have the email in front of me now its at work. but that looks like thats all it adds. there is one vid on youtube of a 4.2 gp.
WTH? it looks to me like they just bored the cylinders. I can have my machine guy do that. If they were using longer rods with that "kit" where did they get them?
better yet what are the specs of the crank journals rod/main and the rods?
that sounds like what I would do to someone just getting into circle track, build a motor/tranny/rear-end for 3000 grand adn charge 5. Or am I just a bit too skeptial?
We do have a 4.2 blower kit with custom forged blower pistons, steel crank
and H Beam rods. This kit costs $4,500. You can run this normally aspirated
but it will make less power because of the lower compression. The power gain
is up to 50kw. The stroker makes a huge amount of torque.
We also have fully ported heads available on an outright basis. These would
cost you $2,200 and this package includes new valve springs, moly retainers
and 3 angle valve job. The heads flow 100 horse power more than the standard
ones.
A new billet cam is $550. We have many custom grinds available for your
application.
