Power Steering

I had an electrical fire on the wires that enter the firewall from the passenger side. I patch up everything and car runs great, only problem now is I have lost power steering. fluid has all leaked out slowly while car was off, the pump does not make noise and I cant see where the leak is. I put in fluid and I still have no assist, usually you have some assist and a whinning pump, but mine is quiet with no assist.. Just want someone take on this, im thinking maybe a boot has melted a small hole or something.

best to put the car up on ramps, de grease it all down, then fill the p/s pump, fire up the car, and get under it, could be a hose, or metal line, or the rack. if its coming out the boots, the rack is dead.
