My power steering has been making some odd noises lately, mainly when sitting in gear with the brake applied or turning around corners. It kind of sounds like when the S/C coupler goes bad, but quieter. Also I've noticed when I sit at a stop sign or something it sounds like a rod knocking or something, it goes away once I start moving again so I know its not a rod.
I checked the fluid earlier and its full, so that's not it.
I have had a broken wheel speed sensor on the front passenger side for as long as I've owned it, which turns off the abs and the power steering assist, so I'm thinking that driving for so long without the assist is whats making it sound like crap.
Any thoughts???
