Power Steering Replacement

2002 GT(P) 40Th anniversary edition.

i am having issues with the power steering system. it still steers right but is incredibly loud and whiny and continues to spray ps fluid all over the engine bay near the pump location. could it be the pump or should i look more at the lines? the engine is out of a 98 GP so idk if it has the older pump or if the guy i got the car from swapped them out. help....

yeah i'd say the pump is gone. or maybe a line is leaking or busted. check those first. if not, new pump

it gets louder everyday and no matter how much i clean, there is always ps fluid coming out somewhere. fluid doesnt seem to be going down too much though. steering has gotten slightly heavier. i am just worried it might fail when im driving to my auto tech classes at school downtown here. that would be a major PITA

Replace your houses while you have the pump out.....

thats what i was planning on doing i work at the local O'Reilly Auto Parts (store 2352) and get a nice discount on this stuff.
