98gtp I put a new rack n pinion n about 2 months ago then a month later I put a new power steering pump in bc the old one was leaking. The old pump never wined the brand new pump still wines after a month I know how to bleed the power steering system done it several times. No leaking hose either. Could I have gotten a bad pump? Thinking about taking it off replacing with another new one tomorrow..any thoughts?

Either the return line is letting air in, or the fluid needs to be changed. After running it, does the fluid have bubble in it? That would indicate one of those two.
Worst case the pump is reman and defective.

probably a crap reman pump you got.

everyone sh it's on duralast, but i used one and its dead silent. 4 years old now. only time ive heard it whine even a little it was real f-ing cold out.

Non GM/AC Delco pumps always whine and more than half the time a new napa/autozone/oriellys pump will whine straight out of the box.

Pretty hard to get new non OE pumps that dont make some sort of noise.

Definitely the pump then.
I've done racks plenty of times, and the pump will never stop whining and the fluid will be very bubbly. I do a fluid swap and the bubbles go away and it stops whining.

I bet you Morad has some used PS pumps for a good price. I've noticed the same thing with off-brand pumps being loud, it's hit or miss. I largely go with aftermarket parts in my vehicle, but there are some things that I will only use OEM for like O2's, MAF's, PS pumps, etc.
