We just bought a 97 Grand Prix GTP, 3.8 supercharged for my son. It was hard to steer both left and right and we thought all it needed was a new power steering pump. When we removed the old pump I noticed the fluid was thicker than normal - more like gear lube. We just finished installing a new pump with fresh fluid and it now steers normal to the left but turning right is still hard. Would flushig the system help? How is it done?
