Possible bad struts or sway bar end links?....

Hey guys, i just bought a 04 GTP with 83k miles. When I hit any kind of bump, front end clunks from suspension area. When i push down on the front end, it returns pretty fast and i didnt see any oil behind the rubber spring on strut. However the sway bar end link boot is totally town and exposed. There is no clunk when turning left or right quickly. Can anyone recommend any ideas to confirm if i should start with thr links or comfirm struts are bad?

You should check the strut mounts as well. Get somebody to "pump" the car up and down by pushing down on the front end and letting it spring back up rhythmically. While they are doing this you can feel the top of the struts to see if they are moving around too much within the mounts.
As far as the end links are concerned, if the boots are ripped the grease can leak out and dirt can get in, Moog has grease fittings on theirs.
