I went ahead and purchased the ZZP PTB. Well I followed the instructions and went out for a ride and all went well. A few hours later I jumped in my car to bring a movie back and it starts "wiggin out" and died on me. Now the car will only idle nice when the engine is cool and once it warms up after about a min the idle starts to roll and it get so bad she dies. I disconected the battery and waited to try to reset the PCM several time. I tried it screen and de-screened. I also played with the bump stop screw that controls the TB blade position. I put the stocker back on it it purrs like a kitten. What gives?? Maybe the ZZP 1.0 Tune?? Is it tuned for a stock TB?? mods are below.

You might have a leak somewhere...either that or a bad sensor? idk thats odd...go figure...its ZZP too, thats problem #1
 
^^This is exactly how my bad maf showed up, one day it just started running crappy when warm..... cold engine ran fine, when moving it was ok, but idle or light - medium throttle was horrible, sometimes stalling.........

And unplugging it didn't help, If you can find a local with a good working MAF, that is the best way to test
 
Yep, could've gotten a bad MAF from ZZP. Or, the IAC could be bad. I'd say swap over all the electronics from your old one (I did that anyway, so I knew the history).
 
OK i got a repsonse from ZZP today and this is what they said. Keep in mind I copied and pasted my 1st post in this thread directly in the email I sent them.

OK that tells me why there is a problem but what is the solution? It would have been nice for them to offer me a few option.
 


Alright things are looking up now. The Owner Zoomer has contacted me and we have a plan for action. I have to send in my pcm and stage I TB. They will be reflashing my PCM and sending me a stage II for a bit more cash.
 
You broke the first rule of modding, don't mod unless you can tune

a ZZP out of the box PCM tune it just a generic tune meant to cover a variety of cars, if you can get your way to a guy with a tuner you will be 50 times happier with your car, it will have more power and probably get better mileage than a ZZP pcm
