??ported Supercharger??

So i wanted to get some info on gettin your eaton ported.. Some questions are
1) What is the rough horsepower gain from lets say a complete (inlet+outlet) port packege from zzp?, assuming a 3.4 pulley and all supporting mods

2) Does porting reduce enough knock to allow a pully size drop?

this will not give you any gain really unless you are running a sub 3.0 pulley. its almost easier to do on your own for the amount of gain youll get (extend the V and polish the inlet).

now if you have an intercooler and a bigger throttle body, that makes sense to open up the inlet more and to knock out the wall on the underside.

when i take mine off next for my SSIC im going to plug up the silencing slots so i can get some more whine out of it.

Is that all that does? have you heard the difference between the 2 before?

i personally have not heard the difference..yet.

will advise on that though, i want more whine and im sure you do too. ;)

I want a whiney blower... How do I plug this hole... I feel like I'm starting over learning about these cars.... I have been out of the loop for soooo long...

use something similar to quicksteel. thats what im gonna use when i have my blower off. ive heard of people using black rtv, but i just dont trust it.

There is no way any rtv would work. How to do it properly? Weld them shut. How to do it if you can't weld them? JB Weld,Quickseal ect. Like bio I think mentioned earlier though I wouldnt do jb weld or quickseal enless i had an intercooler. Just incase it decided to break loose one day it wouldnt be sucked into the engine.

they are the slots that are surrounding the triangle inlet. one on each side.

supposedly someone got ahold of eaton and found out they are for keeping the blower noise down since a grand prix is a family economy car in all retrospect.

well then when i pull my sc and intake to do my zzp vs swap i might as well weld them shut and make the V bigger

im weary on welding them for fear of the case warping.

But your okay with doing a half ass job and risking that chunk of crap coming loose and going into your intake?

Don't mess with the size of the 'V' all you need to do is smooth the edges of it up and take the chunks of metal out where the bolts screw into from the snout.
