Popping/rubbing sound while turning right

I've noticed this past week when turning right and only turning right I will hear a pop almost every time and sometimes hear a rubbing type sound.. Sounds like a plasticy rubbing noise though if you know what I mean. It doesn't sound like metal grinding. Just a pop and then a rubbing type noise. Any ideas?

Check the plastic guards on the passenger side, that one that protects the oil filter from road debris, maybe it came loose and it rubbing the tire when turing right.

I took a quick look in the passenger side wheel well earlier today and didn't see anything but i'll check again tomorrow when its light out. Any idea what the popping noise could be?

Thats probably it then. Should I look at getting that fixed asap? and should I just get the joint replaced/fixed or just replace the whole axle?

I'd just replace the whole axle. Get Napa axles or another good quality axle. I've read/heard bad things about the Autozone one's.

upper strut mounts will pop if they are worn out. You would feel it in the steering wheel, a CV would just click and or make random noise without any steering feedback.

This sounds more like my problem. I can feel it in the steering wheel and its more of a pop than a click. It sounds like its coming from the front passenger side so what could I do to check if the strut mounts are worn out?

I get this pop sound sometimes when backing out of my driveway. It's sortof a "springy" sound, and only happens if I'm coming off the curb while turning sharp. Wonder if that's the same problem you're having.
