Popping In Reverse

Hey All,

just bought a 98 GTP and having some issues in reverse. My be tranny related but im still not 100.

Basically when I put th car into reverse and hit the gas (at a moderate level) i get a popping sound from the front center of the car. If im real easy with the gas, i can usually avoid this.

Im not exactly sure if its a mount problem or something worse.

Any ideas?
 


My 02 gtp is doing the exact same thing. Im replacing the motor mount and trans mount as well as the dogbone mounts/bushings. If this solves the problem (god i hope) ill let ya know.
