Poor times at the track

I ran last Friday at Mason-Dixon. Mod's are in the signature. The best pull of the night was only 14.1 @ 96MPH. 2.16 60' was not great, but not too bad for FWD and cheap tires. I attached a scan on the HPTuners forum since I cannot upload it here. Hopefully someone can see what is going on...I really think I should be almost a second quicker. Scan is also on scandepot: Scan is also on scandepot: http://www.scandepot.net/viewscan.php?pk=4886

What AFR are you shooting for on this setup? I wouldn't really trust narrowband at all especially when you have kr.

Im still trying to get comfortable with tuning but I threw a tune on a intercooled regal and shot for 12.1 afr on that 3.2" pulley setup, worked out great. We did hit 19-20ipw like you are hitting now at first but after a few maf tune runs it came down to 16-18ipw. It looks like you could do a little more maf tuning to get your fuel trims to lock in at 0 in PE. I was able to raise the timing on the car 4 degrees after that. I would include commanded AFR and PE mode in your next scans.

I am tuning a S1X GenV regal now and it is much less forgiving than that intercooled setup.

I have the Power Enrich Fuel Base vs. ECT set to 12.0 up through 212°F. I guess I will need to do better with the MAF tuning. Did you use the Thingy program at all? I have scans with the same tune with LTFT locking in at -2 instead of 2, but obviously that was not the case at the track.

Yeah, I usually use the table modifier to see where I'm at on the maf tune and if it's real bad i manually adjust. Run it through that a couple times, sometimes even disable PE by raising the tps pe to 100% throttle and then go through a few more maf tunes, but not getting on it very hard since it will stay at 14.7 afr when disabling PE. I also have the pe enable tps sloped from 40% down to 20%. What I think helped the most on the intercooled regal for tuning was a stock tb/stock maf.

Yeah get a wideband and try maf tuning again. Just log the ltft against the maf table then you can just copy the table out of the scan and paste it into the editor multiplying by half.
