Hi im new here and i have a 2000 pontiac grand prix gtp and i began to here a grinding noise when i turn my car on when its cold and also sometimes when i push the accelerator either in drive or park. It sounds like it is coming from the drivers side of the car but not 100% positive so if anyone could help that's be great thanks!

what i meant by cold was after it sits for a while than it does.

and what kind of pulley would it be do you think?
 
It could just be the IAC valve, when the car is cold it tends to make a kind of noise like a grinding/tv static combination noise. If your new to the car I could see you not being used to that noise.
