Polishing stock crash braces

So has anyone ever done this? Or do most people just buy aftermarkets.

If yes, whats required to do it. Strip the paint with aircraft/paint stripper first then goto town with flap wheels and sand paper. Or just skip the stripper and do wheels and paper.

the cross braces are made of plain mild steel, mild steel doesn't really polish to a good shine, best option would be to switch to aftermarket aluminums or to have your stockers chromed.
