Okay ive been porting my friends tb for a while trying to get it right and now im polishing it and iv literally spent 3 days trying to polish it and cant get the mirror finish and ive followed the right steps, im at a stand still smh, does anyone know how to get rid of yhese scratches left in the throttle body? I have 400, 800,1000,1500,2000 grit sandpaper, 0000 and 00 steel wool, never dull polishing compound. Any advice would help just wanna get rid of those little scratches and would like some tips on polishing it out. Thanks appreciate it.

What tool are you using? If you have it sanded down fine and lookin good, you should step to a rouge type product (comes in sticks like butter, different colors for different grits. And a metal polishing wheel on a bench grinder. I've never polished a throttle body, mostly stainless. Soi don't know how much shine is possible on that casting. But the method you're describing sounds like you're totally ready for polishing just don't have the right materials. Have you surfed up any kits sold for this? Search for metal polishing kits and you'll see.
