So I read somewhere that I can take the dogbones of from the engine and the engine is able to tilt forward some? If so how easy is it to tilt? I put my plugs in awhile back w/o doing this and I must say, what a pain in the butt.
 


You won't really be able to do it by hand. Some put the car in park, rock the car forward, and set the parking brake when its tilted forward enough. Others use ratcheting cargo straps to do it.

I'm hard core, so I don't even mess with it. Hell, I leave the car on the ground when I do oil changes. :th_nanana: :th_peaceout: :th_laugh-lol2:

I use one of these LISLE 48260 - TRANSVERSE MOUNT ENGINE TILTER GM FWD when the engine really needs to be tilted. Well worth the small amount of money. However, I dont tilt the engine to do plugs. I did tilt the engine the first time or two, but after that I became comfortable without. One thing, the first time plug wires come off, they can be a huge pain so a tilter can help give you a little more room to get aggressive. However using a little dielectric grease on the inside of the spark plug boot makes it sooo much easier the next time.
 


I tilted the engine the first couple times as well. I didn't have any ratchet straps, and didn't know about rocking the engine with the car on the ground, so I just grabbed ahold of it, pulled on it with one hand, and tied it off with a rope to my workbench with the other. Pretty rigged up, but it worked.

Now that I have most of the brackets and stuff out of the way in the back, I don't worry about rocking it.
