The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
if i get a mesage back i will be getting a plog for my gtp. i am just wondering if anyone has any helpful advise on installing, like what i will need, how to install, etc...
like kuntzie said straight forward as repairs come its 6 or 7 bolts/studs in the mani and the xover bolts clean gasket surface install new gasket loosly bolt in plog line up xover torq it all down and enjoy
its a very easy install. when i did mine i had to temporarly remove the dipstick tube. finding the little hole it went back into was the hardest part of the entire job
IMO a reused stock exhaust manifold gasket is better than a felpro or any other aftermarket gasket. If you get a new one go to the stealership and get an OEM gasket.
ok soak the bolts the day before with liquid wrench then remove the front bracket and dog bones and dipstick tube for easy install take spark plug wires off make sure u mark them then just undo the bolts and put plog in i used my old bolts and gasket good luck with ur install
x2 on soaking the bolts. Especially the crossovers. I've never come across a manifold bolt that didn't come right out, but I've broken a ton of crossover bolts.
ok so iknow where to get a new gasket if i need one. but is htere a problem if i can get an oem at like... o reillys? and if the xover bolts get messed up do i get them at an auto parts store or what? dumb questions but i had to ask
