We have been looking into getting a new pug puppy for a little while now. I was just holding out for one that I could afford. Believe it or not, I actually looked at one at Petland the other day that was $1399.00! I pretty much said, Okay thanks, and left when they told me.
Anyway, the other day I arranged a meeting with a breeder about an hour away and was going to get a pug from her this morning. No papers or anything, but he was only $250. As luck would have it, my wife checked the Kansas City Star online classifieds yesterday morning and just happen to catch an ad right when it went up. It was for a 22 month old fawn female. SHe is AKC registerable, came with full AKC pedigrees on her mother and father and full veterinary records since she was born. All this for a whopping price of FREE! Turns out the family is moving and can not take her. My wife was the very first person to call, so she ran up and picked her up. She is so adorable and I couldn't have asked for a better deal.
Her name is Lady Victoriana, but we have decided to just call her Tori for short. Here's a couple pics.
Here's her with our much older pug, Basie. We think he may be around 11-12 years old. We were lucky enough to get him from Coltrane, a member here, our local boards, and a very good friend of ours. Basie has been the best pet I have ever had.
She has normally been bat sh!t crazy since she arrived, but here is a couple pics of her relaxing.
