i have a couple questions.

first, i saw how scottydoggs took the flange off the resonator and put it on his glass pack so it bolts up. its a really good idea. does anyone know if you can buy just the flange part or is that what you have to do if you want to bolt it up? i ask because in my current situation it'll be easier to just buy it if it was a decent price.

second, i'm installing my new downpipe. the o2 sensor looks like it might interfere with the little heat shield for the sensor connector. did anyone have this same problem? should i just cut it so the sensor is not hitting that piece? i assume it will once i get the glass pack on but i dont know. heres a pic

thanks guys.

Flanges are pretty universal. Autozone should even have what you'd need.

Bend the heat shield out of the way with pliars or a vice grip. It shouldn't hurt anything to move it like that.

i thought flanges were universal but i wasnt sure. i hope i find one. shouldnt cost much. and then ill just run to a body shop or muffler whatever is closer and have it welded.

and yeah kinda figured that with the heat shield. ever see that before? if they wouldve made the dp like 2 inches longer that wouldnt have happened lol

everything about the new downpipe was great. taking the old one off, however,......i would much rather do a LIM job before i try tackling that again.

ended up putting a glasspack on too because the banging knocked the heat shield off and i was able to see a HUGE hole in it.
