• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

:(okay..a few days ago i couldnt put my car into first gear but it would still drive....then the next day, the whole thing went out on me!...no drive...no 1st,2nd, or 3rd gear...only reverse...so i have it towed to a A-Best transmissions to get a trans test or diagnostic run to see wut is wrong with it. Well come to find out. it is an internal problem...the mechanic calls me and sd it would cost about $2672 w/part and labor to repair..$2672!! WTF!...is this guy trying to burn me b/c idk **** about transmissions....this is list of the parts he sd i needed.....TORQUE CONVERTER, FILTER BAND, PUMP ASSEMBLY, BUSHING KIT, REVERSE DRUM, AND INPUT SHAFT. ??? does my car really need all of that!?! would it be cheaper just to get a new tranny...PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE

I would just get another tranny. I got a 30k used one for my 2002 ... for $750... however... if you went down that route, find out how much for labor. A few buddies helped me out, and we did it ourselves.

Ask him how much to swap the trans out. Spend $1500 and get one dave at triple edge and then have him swap it in.
