Please help! How to install the dipstick tube?? 2001 3.8

I just finished installing new head gaskets and have the motor completely back together and even fired it up but I can't find the hole in the block for the dipstick tube! I know it goes between the #1 and #3 exhaust tubes but I can't hit the hole. Any tips or better yet a pic of the block where the hole is? Also have a connector I can't figure out where it goes. It's on the back of the engine harness against the firewall right beside the O2 sensor connection. Small red and red/black stripped wire. Any idea? Thank you Soo much for your help!!
