Please help!! EGR wiring

Ok so I am an idiot and I accidentally bought an EGR for a 97 3.1 and not for the 3.8. The connector fits upside down but I am certain the wiring is different. My first question is what is the difference between the 3.1 and 3.8 EGR? Can anyone get me the pinout or wiring diagram for that connector so I can rewire the connector so it is right if I can in fact use the EGR I bought. Please help me my car is running like crap and my SES light is on.
 


leave it off. the EGR doesnt help the car run better, just gets better mileage when youre cruising.
 
what about the SES light? My car keeps throwing a code for the TPS, but I replaced that, the guy at autozone said that if the TPS didnt clear the code it has to be the EGR or the Intake Air Vavle. Any ideas? I already paid for the EGR and seeing as they aren't cheap i figured I might as well put it on. If anyone has the diagrams for the 3.1 and the 3.8 EGR wiring please help!
 
the SES light can be programmed to stay off so you can pass emissions without it, but if youre actually going to put it on then disregard. im not sure how the wiring would be different, so im no help there.
