so my buddy has a 02 grand prix se and it starts squeling from the tire area at any speed no matter what he does. We tore it all apart thinking its the brakes but I had all the brakes off and would turn it from the the hub and still makes the squealing while up on jack stands in neutral and turning it by hand. We replaced the cv shaft thinking that might be it but it sounds like the noise is coming from where the cv axle goes into the transmission. After replacing all of that it went away but later it started doing it again. Is it possible the noise is traveling thru from the other sides axle shaft? Please someone help me.Here is a couple videos of what it sounds like when brakes are removed so I know its not brakes and wheel bearing removed. Only the squeaking or squealing is going on that's similar to both videos no grinding noises are steering issues or shifting issues

That sounds exactly like brake noise. I know you said it is not from the brakes but did you check the other sides brakes? That sounds just like pad hardware scraping on the rotor. Maybe backing plate also.

There was no brakes on it and I spun it by hand with car in neutral on the passenger front side and it still makes the squealing. That's how I know it's not the brakes. Also drive side tire was still on ground only passenger front was off ground

Hmm, what if the diff in the tranmission there is eating itself.

The Diff bolts to the passenger side of the tranny right there. You could stick a screw driver to your ear and right to the diff housing and see if it's coming straight from there.
