Plastic Smell [HEATER]

So recently Buffalo NY had a massive snow storm past week. So I went to go start my car that was engulfed with snow all around it. I made sure to get out the Exhaust Tip so it would not seep inside. I turned the heat on full blast, while I'm outside trying to dig out this massive snow automotive. Came inside the car to get warmed up and noticed a mild plastic rubber smell. Yet it went away after I turned the heater off. I noticed that the HVAC Blower Motor underneath the passenger dash the wiring is really outdated. Meaning if you move the wire to much the Blower Motor turns off and no heat come out. So I don't know if it's the Heater fan/motor assy that's causing this distinct order or something else.

Also on the Electrical-Switch & Relay : A/C and Heater Control Switch the A/C button does not work. you can press and press and hold it in but A/C don't turn on. So maybe this is another reason for the smell or perhaps it's both

Any thoughts

If the blower shuts off when moving the wires, there's a bad connection which leads to heat, and melting of contacts or insulation. Pull the connectors at the blower motor and resistor, make sure they're not melted. I'd bet one of them is. GM isn't known for making good electrical connections... I've made many repairs in situations just like that on many gm vehicles.

ok I just got done changing the Blower motor, Blower Motor Control Module / Resistor, brand new Heater Blend Door Actuator, Blower Motor Connector 7-WAY FEMALE, and a new A/C and Heater Control Switch.

1: A/C Button still does not work or turn on
2. The plastic smell is now 10x worse then ever.

I can't even turn the heater on. I doubled checked the electrical wires, took the dashboard completely off to check the Temperature Door and the Valve Vent nothing seems to be in the way. Also noticing that the rear window defrosted if left on for along time turns off. Don't know if it's a safety feature. But nevertheless I could use some help here. I own a 02 Grand Prix GT non-Supercharged

I don't know what the issue is I'll look around in my engine bay for pieces that may be touching the motor, wire harnesses that are out of place or something. It could also be the ductwork inside my dash that has come loose and is resting against my heater core. It could get hot enough to melt plastic. I also could be some oil spilled on the exhaust pipe whenever it heats up

Too many possibilities to list. I'll will have to do a thorough inspection myself or take it somewhere.

Never mind I found this perpetrator

I could not find any plastic attached to the exhaust system, I checked and sniff around each of my wheels because the burning plastic odor can be caused by brake pads or linings that are burnt due to a parking brake that left on unintentionally or brakes that are not working properly. And sure enough I need new Rotors and brake pads along with Calipers. Thanks for helping guys
